I came to work in quite a crappy mood this morning and with a scowl on my face, I ran through all my fifty million emails (ok, I exaggerate, so what?). Scrolling and simultaneously deleting all the nonsensical psychobabble I found, I came across… Drumroll please – airport photos! And they weren’t any run of the mill airport photos either, they were Ranveer Singh‘s!

And just look how happy the man is! Every time I see airport pictures of celebrities, they’re usually trying to hide or generally frowning and ignoring the media – not Ranveer! He seems like such a happy person here! Clearly his happiness is infectious because I’m not scowling anymore :) (See, happy face!)

Also, now that you’ve seen the photos and I’m done gushing like a teenage girl, I’ll move on to the clothes. He’s dressed for the season, that’s for sure and even though he’s in a good mood, I don’t see any OTT shirt in sight – this could be both good and bad. Good because he’s so hot, even when his clothes aren’t seeking attention and bad because we actually miss some of that loudness (we’re women, we’re allowed to not be able to make up our minds!).

Where Ranveer Singh failed with his Louis Vuitton x Chapman Brothers jacket, Ayushmann triumphed with its high-street iteration — and the credit, I suppose, lies with his stylist, Shreeja Rajgopal. I loved that she exercised restraint and kept the rest of the look basic to let the floral print Noose & Monkey x Topman blazer shine.

But, if it were me, I’d have omitted the pocket square — for maximum visual impact of the print. Still, this look was a masterclass on how to have fun with the smart casual look — and of course, without dropping a bomb in your bank account.

Grrr… I loathe playing catch-up! Other than Fawad Khan’s stellar sartorial run during Khoobsurat promotions, I also failed to document the snappy appearances that Saqib Saleem made during that time. Lets check out some of his fab looks, shall we?

While Imran Khan’s deconstructed black-tie ensemble at this year’s GQ Men of the Year Awards had me purr-ing emphatically, Saqib’s look at the event had me mouthing Oof! His stylist, Shreeja Rajgopal, did ever so well in narrowing down to this rakish suit from Sisley for him, but, frustratingly, left the trouser hem undone. Such a shame, as this checked number in shades of burgundy was just so age-appropriate and fashion forward. Yep, it had the goods to give Imran’s look some stiff competition.

But, I have no such complaints with the navy SS HOMME dinner suit that he wore to the Absolute India party. Immaculately cut and styled, this look was a thumbs up.

That Raghuvendra Rathore suit had me with its colour!
